Jarron Collins talks about disclosure his brother Jason is gay
Jarron Collins sat down with Jim Rome as part of a three-member panel to discuss the disclosure that his twin brother, NBA player Jason Collins, is gay.
Jason Collins, in an interview published last week in Sports Illustrated, became the first professional athlete in a major American sport to reveal that he’s gay. Since then he has said Jarron was “astounded” by the news.
Jarron joined FoxSports.com columnist Jason Whitlock and former NFL player Trevor Pryce in a discussion for the show “Jim Rome on Showtime,” scheduled to air Wednesday night at 9 p.m. EDT and PDT.
Jason, who is a free agent, plans to play next season.
“He doesn’t want to get on a team because he’s the gay guy, and this is a political thing and a political machine or political maneuver,” Jarron said of his brother.
