Giants rookie Cooper Taylor tries to rent out condo for Super Bowl
Going to Super Bowl XLVIII and need a place to stay?
New York Giants rookie safety Cooper Taylor has a deal for you.
In ads on Craigslist and Airbnb, Taylor and girlfriend Susan Carlson are offering their 900-square-foot condo in Rutherford, N.J. -- just 0.6 miles from MetLife Stadium -- for rent during the week of the big game.
It’s not like Taylor or any other member of the 6-9 Giants have any reason for hanging around that week.
“We thought it would be the best time to get out of the city and go on vacation because that week will be a madhouse,” Taylor told the New York Post. “I am definitely disappointed that we are not playing in it. It would make it a lot more fun.”
The two-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom apartment -- which Taylor and Carlson rent themselves, fully furnished for $2,700 a month -- features a 70-inch TV, two couches and more.
In the Craigslist ad, the couple only identifies themselves as “big fans of a local team here and unfortunately will not be attending this year.”
That’s probably a good idea just in case the Philadelphia Eagles or Dallas Cowboys make it to the Super Bowl -- wouldn’t want fans of those teams to know they’re staying in the home of an NFC East rival.
Oops ... I guess it’s too late now. Sorry, guys.
