Eli Manning as a woman? That’s what he gets for snubbing Chargers

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning snubbed the San Diego Chargers once.

And, therefore, he is a woman.

That is the logic apparently used Sunday at the Chargers-Giants game in San Diego by a fan who was caught on camera holding a humongous cutout of Manning’s head -- with the two-time Super Bowl champ sporting a blond bob, sparkling earrings and some very pretty makeup.

Because, see, it’s an insult for a man to be called a woman.

Or maybe the cutout is supposed to be Manning in drag, which is equally insulting, see, because it’s a blow to his manhood.

Hey, that’s what Manning gets for forcing a trade to the Giants after being picked by the Chargers in the 2004 draft. That and the two Super Bowl rings he’s won with the team during the last decade.

But the Chargers didn’t make out so badly either. They may still be without a Lombardi Trophy, but they did get a franchise quarterback in Philip Rivers. And they also got a 37-14 victory over Manning’s team on Sunday, knocking the Giants down to 5-8 and effectively dousing their playoff hopes.

And they have the cardboard cutout guy, who may never have emerged if it weren’t for Manning’s epic diss of the Chargers.

I’d say things came out about even.
