Veteran forward Alan Gordon re-signs with Galaxy
It appears Alan Gordon is set to make his latest stint with the Galaxy more than just a stopover.
Gordon, who played a role in pushing the Galaxy to their fifth MLS Cup title last month, re-signed with the team Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Galaxy.
Gordon was reacquired by the Galaxy in a trade with the San Jose Earthquakes in August, and he went on to score five goals in 14 regular-season contests. The 33-year-old forward also appeared in each of the Galaxy’s playoff matches en route to winning his second MLS title with the club.
Gordon, a Southern California native, previously played with the Galaxy from 2004 to 2010, racking up 16 goals and 12 assists in 80 games. He was part of the team’s 2005 championship squad. Gordon has also played for Chivas USA and Toronto FC during his 11-year MLS career.
