Guess what J.J. Watt wants for Christmas
All J.J. Watt, the star Houston Texans defensive end, wants for Christmas is plastic surgery for his busted nose.
OK, the NFL’s reigning defensive player of the year probably wants more than that.
The nose job, which he likely needs to clean up scarring from a gash that reopened during games after the initial injury, will come after the season.
“Once it gets time to heal up and rest, it goes back to pretty normal,” Watt told the Associated Press in reference to his nose. “We’ll see what happens.
“If it doesn’t heal itself, then I will look into getting it fixed.”
Watt sustained the gash in a 23-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 29. It required six stitches to close. He had it closed with stitches after it reopened the next two games, then gave up and let the scarring process close the wound.
Now he has a big indentation across the bridge of his nose.
Who first thought of having plastic surgery? His mother. “She hates it,” Watt said of the scarred nose.
The Texans, who have lost a franchise-record 13 consecutive games, finish their season on Sunday at Tennessee.
