Rams defensive end Robert Quinn hospitalized with non-football-related illness
Rams defensive end Robert Quinn on Monday admitted himself to a hospital for a non-football-related illness, the team announced.
Quinn is in stable condition, the team said in a statement. Coach Jeff Fisher is expected to address the situation Monday afternoon in his weekly news conference at the team’s training facility at California Lutheran University.
Quinn, 26, had one tackle and batted down a pass during Sunday’s 9-6 victory over the New York Jets in East Rutherford, N.J.
He was a first-round draft pick in 2011.
Quinn returned this season after being slowed or sidelined because of a back injury in 2015.
He sat out two games this season because of a shoulder injury. He has two sacks and has forced two fumbles.
