Shareece Wright apparently just had to get to practice for the Buffalo Bills on Monday, even if the workout was considered voluntary.

Why else would he have paid more than $900 for an Uber ride from Chicago to Buffalo late Sunday night and well into the next morning?

One of Wright’s representatives, Tamerat Berhe, shared the story Tuesday on Twitter.

When Berhe asked to see a receipt from the eight-hour car ride, Wright obliged with a screen shot via Twitter. It showed the cost to be $632.08.

But according to Berhe, the trip cost his client much more than that, after adding in the $300 tip Wright gave driver Hadi Abdollahian.

In the end, everyone involved should have been happy. Wright, a six-year NFL veteran, may have been out close to a grand, but at least he got to practice with the team he joined this offseason as a free agent.

Meanwhile, Berhe got a good story to share on Twitter. And, of course, Abdollahian got that enormous tip.
