Kobe Bryant gets stitches removed 17 days after surgery
Kobe Bryant continues his recovery from the Achilles’ tear that ended his season on April 12.
On Tuesday, before his exit interview for the season with Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak and Coach Mike D’Antoni, Bryant tweeted the latest update.

Bryant was injured in a 118-116 win over the Golden State Warriors. He underwent surgery the following day.
The Lakers’ All-Star guard is expected to be out at least six to nine months.
The team won two final regular-season games without him, defeating the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets and finishing the season 45-37 and in seventh place in the Western Conference.
With multiple players sitting out with injuries, the Lakers were swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the Spurs.
