Kobe Bryant creates stir when he visits a Boston College class

Kobe Bryant went directly from high school into the NBA, but as he pointed out when he visited a Boston College international marketing class on Thursday night, your education can always continue.

When Bryant and the Lakers arrived in Boston a day ahead of their Friday night game against the Celtics at TD Garden, the All-Star guard headed to BC because of his interest in international marketing.

He, and several students, took to Twitter regarding the visit.

Professor Nick Nugent said he was as surprised as the students.

“I had just begun the class with an example of the how the NBA is a model of successful international marketing and how Kobe Bryant is its biggest star, when suddenly the door opened and in walked Kobe,” Nugent told reporters of the visit. “It was surreal.”

Bryant, who hopes to return to the court in February once a fractured bone in his knee heals, took time after class to pose for pictures and sign autographs for students, some of whom tweeted about it.
