Phil Jackson takes a look ‘Through the Lens’ Tuesday
Phil Jackson is set to visit with longtime Lakers team photographer Andy Bernstein on Tuesday night’s “Through the Lens” on Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
During the program, the two use photos to take a look back at Jackson’s two stints with the Lakers, leading to five championships.
“They’ve all been great moments, but this one was very joyous because it gave [Kobe Bryant] a victory more than [Shaquille O’Neal], and that is something Shaq had piled on Kobe when he won four,” Jackson says of a photo taken after the team had won the title in 2010. “This is one of his personal moments, and yet for the two of us, it’s a very significant look between us.”
Bernstein still shoots for the Lakers, Clippers and NBA Entertainment. He served as the senior director of NBA Photos from 1986 to 2011.
His conversation with Jackson is being aired over two episodes, the second to be shown next Tuesday.
Time Warner has a preview on its website.
