Blake Griffin said “absolutely” that he was nervous when he went down during the Clippers’ intrasquad scrimmage Wednesday night that resulted in a left knee bone bruise.

But after getting an MRI that revealed no structural damage to the knee, Griffin said Friday he was feeling fine.

“In terms of injury, it’s not even really that bad,” Griffin said. “Bone bruises, I’m good with bone bruises. Me and bone bruises are on good terms. It’s really about pain management.”

Griffin said the team doctors worked on his knee for about an hour after he got the MRI Monday night, doing “stuff with my feet and taking tension off the knees.”

“Both of my knees actually feel better,” Griffin said. “So, it’s kind of a blessing in disguise.”

The Clippers will play three exhibition games in four days, starting at Utah on Saturday night, then back-to-back at Sacramento on Monday night and at Phoenix on Tuesday night.

Griffin, who met with the media before practice started, said he hoped to practice later Friday and that he was still unsure when he would play.

“We’ll see how it is today, doing whatever they are going to let me do,” Griffin said. “Then we’ll go from there. So, I can’t say yes for sure or no for sure [about playing]. But it’s my intention to play.”
