Pitcher: Phil Bickford, Oaks Christian, Sr. — An 18-strikeout performance in the Southern Section Division 4 championship game capped a season in which Bickford had a 12-1 record with an 0.83 earned-run average and 146 strikeouts in 84 2/3 innings. He was chosen No. 10 overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in last week’s Major League Baseball amateur draft.

Pitcher: Jack Flaherty, Harvard-Westlake, Jr. — The 6-foot-4 right-hander had a 13-0 record with an 0.63 ERA and beat Huntington Beach Marina, 1-0, in the Southern Section Division 1 final.

Pitcher: Jack Hartman, Cleveland, Sr. — Bound for Pennsylvania, the left-handed Hartman won 12 consecutive games and threw a no-hitter in a City Section quarterfinal game. He finished with a record of 12-2 and an 0.91 ERA.

Catcher: Arden Pabst, Harvard-Westlake, Sr. — The Georgia Tech signee batted .376 with five home runs and 31 runs batted in for the Southern Section Division 1 champion.

Infield: Ryan McMahon, Mater Dei, Sr. — The USC signee and second-round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies played third base and led Mater Dei to a 24-3 record, batting .405 with 32 RBIs and nine doubles.

Infield: David Fletcher, Cypress, Sr. — His defense at shortstop and timely hitting helped Cypress win the Southern Section Division 2 championship. He batted .437 and had three errors in 139 chances. He signed with Loyola Marymount.

Infield: Jake Bauers, Marina, Sr. — The Hawaii signee hit four home runs during the Division 1 playoffs and finished with a .571 batting average, 48 hits and 10 home runs while playing first base.

Infield: Roberto Ramos, San Fernando, Sr. — The 6-4, 230-pound first baseman was three for three in the City Division 1 championship game with two RBIs in a 2-1 win over Cleveland. He had 11 home runs, 43 RBIs and was chosen City Section player of the year.

Outfield: Dominic Smith, Gardena Serra, Sr. — The versatile Smith led Serra to the Southern Section Division 3 championship, hitting .393 with seven home runs and 37 RBIs. He was drafted No. 11 overall by the New York Mets.

Outfield: Brock Lundquist, Fountain Valley, Jr. — He helped the Barons to a 24-5 record and the Sunset League championship, batting .389 with eight home runs, eight doubles and 21 RBIs.

Outfield: Joe Prior, Servite, Sr. — He batted .388 with six home runs, seven doubles and 25 RBIs. He’s headed to Fresno State.
