Adrian Gonzalez out of Dodgers lineup with bruised forearm
PHOENIX — Adrian Gonzalez is being held out of the Dodgers lineup on Sunday after he was hit by a pitch in his right forearm the previous night.
The move was described as precautionary.
“It’s not enough to be on the medical report,” Manager Don Mattingly said.
Juan Uribe, who is nursing a tight hamstring, will be out of action for the second consecutive day.
Carl Crawford, who played three innings in left field on Saturday night, is scheduled to play defense for five innings.
In other news, non-roster reliever Mark Lowe was granted his release. Lowe posted a 4.15 earned-run average in nine spring appearances.
