Dodgers acquire right-hander Mike Bolsinger from the Diamondbacks

The Dodgers added rotation depth by acquiring right-hander Mike Bolsinger from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night in exchange for cash considerations.

Bolsinger, 26, pitched in 10 games for the Diamondbacks this year, including nine starts. He went 1-6 with a 5.50 earned-run average.

He spent the majority of the season at triple-A Reno, where he went 8-3 with a 3.93 ERA in 17 games, including 16 starts.

Bolsinger was added to the Dodgers’ 40-man roster, which is full.

To clear a roster spot for Bolsinger, the Dodgers designated left-hander Jarret Martin for assignment. Martin, 25, posted a 3.29 ERA in 46 games with double-A Chattanooga, but walked 48 batters in 54 2/3 innings.
