USC football: Roster updated with Delvon Simmons and walk-ons

USC updated the roster that appears in its media guide, adding transfer Delvon Simmons and 19 walk-ons.

NCAA transfer rules require Simmons, a defensive lineman who played at Texas Tech, to sit out this season. He will be eligible in 2014 and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The walk-ons include offensive lineman Abe Markowitz, who was granted a sixth season of eligibility by the NCAA, quarterback Chris Willson, a transfer from Wake Forest who will redshirt, and quarterback Ted Landers, who played at Gardena Serra High and made stops at UCLA and Mt. San Antonio College.

John Yohe, a senior tight end, is 28 years old. Yohe participated in three sports at Virginia Military Institute. He served in the Marines from 2008-11 and was deployed twice to Afghanistan.
