Clippers expected to unveil new logo on Thursday
The Clippers are expected to unveil their new logo and uniforms on Thursday, with Clippers owner Steve Ballmer expected to make an appearance at Sprinkles Cupcakes, and Coach Doc Rivers expected to make an appearance at Pink’s Hot Dogs.
Tweeted the Clippers on Wednesday: “Ready to #GearUpLA? Join us at @PinksHotDogs at 12pm tomorrow with a special appearance by Clippers Coach Doc Rivers!”
The Clippers will add the color black to their previous colors of red, white and blue. The Clippers will also add a black alternate uniform.
Former Microsoft CEO Ballmer has wanted to rebrand the Clippers ever since he bought the team in August for $2 billion. In April, Rivers said that he supported the Clippers making moves to reinvent their logo.
“I don’t mind change,” Rivers said. “I think change is good, right?”
