‘Hannah Montana’ actor arrested in Burbank for alleged DUI
An actor who appeared on the “Hannah Montana” TV show was arrested Sunday for alleged drunk driving, Burbank police said.
Mitchel Musso, 20, who also appeared in the 2003 movie “Secondhand Lions,” was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at about 3:45 a.m. near Buena Vista and Chandler streets after police said he failed to follow directions from an officer who was directing traffic through a previous accident scene.
“He drove through the intersection and failed to do what the officer instructed him to do,” Burbank Sgt. Sean Kelley said.
Musso’s blood-alcohol level was “well over” the legal limit of .08, Kelley said, although due to the actor’s, any alcohol in his system would be considered illegal.
Musso posted $5,000 bail and was released, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The actor was the only person in the black 2007 Mercedes Benz at the time of his arrest, Kelley said.
