Woman killed in Glendale hit-and-run collision identified as police ask for help in finding suspect
Authorities hope the public can help track down the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision Friday evening in Glendale that left a 72-year-old woman dead.
Novar Ismailyan, a resident of Glendale, was near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Linden Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The Glendale Police Department said it first received several calls about the incident around 7:20 pm.
Ismailyan was found dead at the scene by responding officers.
Sgt. Dan Suttles, a department spokesman, said there were no witnesses to the collision who could give a description of the vehicle that hit Ismailyan.
Nearby surveillance footage has yet to produce any viable leads in the investigation, he added.
