Brethren Christian’s Jace Knowles and Noah Peters make first-team All-Express League in boys’ basketball
Brethren Christian High senior forward Jace Knowles and junior guard Noah Peters have each earned first-team All-Express League honors in boys’ basketball.
Knowles and Peters helped the Warriors finish 19-6 overall and 9-3 in the league, good for second place. Third-seeded Brethren Christian advanced to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5A playoffs before losing 46-43 at Fillmore.
Brethren Christian coach Jeff Jefferson earned league Coach of the Year accolades.
Knowles, a repeat first-team selection, averaged 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists per game. Peters averaged 13 points and five rebounds per game, and made 60 three-pointers.
Brethren Christian senior guard Koby Gilman was a second-team all-league selection, and senior guard Dakota Whitmire was an honorable mention.
Avalon senior guard Allen Arneson earned Express League MVP honors after leading the Lancers to the league championship.
