Election Day is just over two weeks away, on Tuesday, June 7.

Orange County voters should have received their mail-in ballots by now. Those who want to vote in person will be able to do so when vote centers begin to open Memorial Day weekend. The Daily Pilot will be covering state and local races relevant to the cities of Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach.

For the record:

10:30 a.m. May 20, 2022This article previously incorrectly stated Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo were part of the 72nd State Assembly District.

With recent redistricting, some of the races and positions that preside over certain areas have changed at the state and county level. Readers can check wedrawthelinesca.org/final_maps to see which Congressional, Senate and Assembly districts they live in and which county district they live in at cob.ocgov.com/2021-redistricting.

In addition to primary races, the Daily Pilot will also be covering two measures that are on the ballot: Measure A, which would tax commercial cannabis businesses in Huntington Beach, and Measure B, which allows the direct election of the mayor in Newport Beach.

Here’s a list of the races in the Daily Pilot’s coverage area:

45th Congressional District

Represents Cerritos, Buena Park, Westminster, Garden Grove and Fountain Valley; represented by Rep. Katie Porter (D-Irvine)
