Sherman Library & Gardens light up the night in Corona del Mar with Nights of 1,000 Lights
The Sherman Library & Gardens kicked off its first night of 1,000 lights on Friday — just one of many this December.
The event was sold out on the first night, according to Beverly Morgan, the event and venue coordinator over at the botanical gardens in Corona del Mar. The Nights of 1,000 Lights will continue to be held this and next weekend through the 22nd. Tickets are being sold at thesherman.org. No admission will be sold at the gate.
It runs between 5 and 9 p.m.
Organizers said that the event has timed, ticketed admission to limit capacity and ensure physical distancing. Face coverings are required.
“We’re so happy to be able to present the seventh annual Nights of 1,000 Lights for the community,” said Scott LaFleur, executive director of Sherman Library & Gardens. “This year looked a little bit different with timed ticketed admissions and reduced capacity in the garden. We knew it would sell out early and it has. I’d like to thank the community for their support and wish all of your readers happy holidays from all of us at Sherman Library & Gardens.”
