Heroes Hall, Centennial Farm, more close as O.C. fairgrounds halts public access due to coronavirus caution

The OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa announced Monday that it is closing all of its facilities to the public until further notice to help stem the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Those facilities include the Heroes Hall veterans museum, Centennial Farm, the Equestrian Center and the administration building.

The move comes “out of an abundance of caution,” according to a statement from the fairgrounds.

The Orange County Fair, the center’s flagship event, is still scheduled for July 17 through Aug. 16, the statement said.

The fairgrounds already had announced last week that a long list of events scheduled there as late as June would not be held as scheduled.
