Man in ‘serious’ condition after suspected gang-related stabbing, Burbank police say
A 23-year-old man was hospitalized in “serious” condition after what police believe was a gang-related stabbing in Burbank on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Around 3:10 p.m., someone called police to report two men, one of which was bleeding from his neck, walking toward Burbank Fire Station No. 12 on the 600 block of Hollywood Way, said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.
Someone had driven the victim to the area, but the stabbing occurred more than two miles away on the 1800 block of North Buena Vista Street, Losacco said.
Investigators, who believe the stabbing was gang-related and not a random act of violence, were collecting evidence and searching for witnesses at both locations. No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210.
