Two horses escaped from their stables Sunday evening and spent 15 minutes running through a Burbank neighborhood near the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, police said.

Around 6:15 p.m., a witness called police after seeing the two horses running near Mariposa Street and Riverside Drive, said Burbank Police Lt. Scott Meadows.

Several officers and fire officials tried to corral the horses before reaching someone at the equestrian center who was able to get a hold of them.

No one was injured.

“They were running all over the place,” Meadows said. “Thankfully nobody hit them.”
