Burbank authorities investigating ‘suspicious’ car fire

Authorities are investigating a suspicious car fire reported early Monday morning in Burbank, officials said.

Just before 5 a.m., firefighters responded to the 1725 N. Glenoaks Blvd., where a 2016 Ford Fusion in the back alley was on fire, said Burbank Battalion Chief Steve Briggs.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, but authorities found evidence of a “suspicious” origin, Briggs said.

No injuries were reported.
