Body found wrapped in plastic near railroad tracks in Burbank

An investigation is underway after a body wrapped in dark plastic was found near railroad tracks in Burbank, police said.

Around 12:35 p.m., a citizen called police to report the body, which was located in an open field near the tracks behind Stock Building Supply on the 600 block of North Victory Boulevard, said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

The victim’s bare feet were exposed, but investigators could not tell the victim’s age or gender.

No other personal belongings were located near the body.

Los Angeles County coroner’s officials were responding to the scene.
