Passenger numbers remain positive in October
Hollywood Burbank Airport saw an 18.7% increase in passengers during October compared to the same month in 2018.
There were 551,544 passengers in October, which was 86,937 more than the same month last year, according to Nerissa Sugars, the airport’s director of marketing communications and air service, during a meeting of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority on Monday.
Southwest Airlines had 370,238 passengers, which was an increase of 34,556 passengers over last year.
American Airlines reported having 31,121 passengers in October, a hike of 19,614 over the previous year.
Delta Airlines had 29,283 passengers, an increase of 11,264 over last year.
United Airlines reported 38,129 passengers for the month, 8,854 more than in 2018.
Alaska Airlines had 53,564 passengers, which was up 3,003 compared to the year before.
JetBlue Airways had 19,799 passengers, an uptick of just 236 more passengers than last year.
Spirit Airlines, the newest carrier at Hollywood Burbank, reported 9,410 passengers.
Parking revenue also continued to climb at the airport, which generated about $2.1 million in October, about $227,000 more than the previous year.
Hollywood Burbank also received $455,984 from ride-sharing companies for pick-ups and drop-offs for the month.
