Local jeweler Gabriela Artigas has partnered for the third time with Desiree Kohan, the owner of Des Kohan boutique, to create a limited-edition collection. Last year, Kirsty Surian introduced her fine jewelry line Retrouvaí, named for a French word that refers to the joy of reuniting with someone after a long separation—or styles that are modern with a nod to the past. The Mulleavy sisters, Kate and Laura, debuted their fashion-brand Rodarte a decade ago with a line of 16 dresses stitched in their family home in Pasadena. For their 10-year anniversary, the brand has launched an e-commerce site where you'll find shoes, scarves, logo T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jewelry, including these brass lily earrings with Swarovski crystals.

Amanda Chantal Bacon of Moon Juice has made a booming business out of juicing, supplemented by an array of wellness foods and elixirs. The brand’s Beauty Dust, Sex Dust and Brain Dust herbal supplements are now available in boxed sets of 10 sachets at local Moon Juice shops and online.

Natural beauty brand California Baby, founded by Jessica Iclisoy, has an organic farm in Los Alamos where the calendula flowers used in its products are grown— products that are enjoyed by adults as well. The Calendula Horsey Tote gift set includes bubble bath, lotion, cream, a sea sponge and a plush bamboo horse toy in tote bag.

Local men's accessories brand Pocket Square Clothing opened its first bricks-and-mortar store in downtown L.A. in June, offering the full line of ties and pocket squares, along with apparel and accessories by other California labels. Luxury leather goods brand Parabellum, co-founded by Mike Feldman and Jason Jones, has put its style stamp on textured American bison leather. Every belt, wallet and bag is hand-produced in Los Angeles. The Cash & Carry wallet holds up to 12 cards with center pocket for currency.

Beast + Babe limited-edition dog collars, leashes and beds are designed in Venice and made locally from repurposed vintage fabric (and finished with brass hardware). The company donates a percentage of every item sold to the Mexican nonprofit Peace Animals, a free program that offers spaying and neutering, primarily in the Puerto Vallarta area.

In July, makeup artist Ada Trinh, whose clients include Kobe Bryant, introduced a men’s natural botanical skincare line called Guise Etiquette. Products are hand-blended in small batches in L.A. using plant-based ingredients from organic farms in California, New Mexico and Arizona.
