David Toledo is a former podcast producer for the Los Angeles Times. During his tenure, he produced captivating stories that aligned with the publication’s priorities for their flagship news podcast “The Times.” Notably, he spearheaded the show’s entertainment news and LGBTQ+ coverage.
Prior to that, Toledo was an associate producer on various ABC News shows. He produced segments on their daily news podcast “Start Here,” as well as their LGBTQ+ culture podcast “Life Out Loud with LZ Granderson” and their entertainment news show “Close Up with Kelley Carter.”
He also was an early member of the audio team at CNN, where he produced shows covering critical subjects such as the far-reaching impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the transformative Trump era, and the profound racial reckoning that unfolded in 2020.
He is originally from the vibrant city of Medellin, Colombia, but now calls the thriving metropolis of Brooklyn his home. An award-winning audio producer and storyteller, he graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in political science and is an avid long-distance runner.
