2 reporters detained in Ferguson, Mo.: Here’s how the arrests unfolded
Journalists from the Washington Post and the Huffington Post were detained for less than an hour by police in Ferguson, Mo., on Wednesday amid continuing tensions following the police killing of an unarmed man.
Wesley Lowery, who is a former L.A. Times reporter, and Ryan J. Reilly were tweeting about police entering a McDonald's just before their accounts went silent for a period. Reilly later said he was assaulted by police, and Lowery said he was slammed into a soda machine.
