Infographic: For some of us, technology is more essential than sex

Some people would rather live without sex than live without some forms of technology, including their mobile phone and their TV.

A new infographic from Statista illustrates a Harris survey that measured how much we love our tech. Harris polled two groups -- 315 IT folks and 2,210 from the general population. Those in information technology ranked tech high for improving quality of life, encouraging creativity and enhancing their social life -- and more than half in the general population group agreed.

A majority of those polled in both groups also said technology was way too distracting, it’s doing a number on our interpersonal communications -- and it’s making us all lazy.
