Reader photo: A quiet moment
Broadway is the typical downtown street - loud, noisy and full of people. Which is what makes the moment that Rinzi Ruiz captured in the above photo so special. The street appears deserted as a man walks under the marquee of the Los Angeles Theater, promising livelier times at a “YJP Roaring 20s Purim Party.”
At that moment, however, the headless mannequins on the left side of the frame offer the only other sign of life on the street.
