Officers kill suspect in gun battle in Pacoima, police say
Los Angeles police shot and killed an armed suspect in Pacoima on Sunday after a brief gun battle, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call regarding an “active shooter” in the 12700 block of Van Nuys Boulevard just after noon, police said.
After they arrived at the scene, the officers got into a gun battle with the unidentified suspect, who was shot and killed, police said. The officers were not hurt.
No other details were immediately available about the incident.
