One dead in San Fernando Valley in possible ‘road rage’ shooting
A shooting that left one man dead in Panorama City on Wednesday night may have been linked to a “road rage” incident, police said.
Several unknown suspects were involved in an altercation with the victim, identified only as a 37-year-old Winnetka man, around 7:20 p.m. near Van Nuys Boulevard and Plummer Street, according to an LAPD news release.
The victim was found lying near a car by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and taken to an area hospital, where he died a short time later.

Police are withholding the man’s name pending notification of his next of kin.
Two other people were shot in the area moments after the fatal shooting near Plummer, which caused the LAPD’s Mission Division to go on a modified tactical alert, police said on Wednesday night.
The other shooting, which occurred on Nordoff Street, left one person seriously injured.
A Police Department spokesman said it was not clear if the shootings were related.
