Pint-size surfer girl goes viral as she catches her first solo wave in Dana Point
A cute 4-year-old surfer girl, who was featured in news stories on ABC and CBS, showed some style on a small wave in Dana Point on Friday evening.
The video of her ride, which has gone viral, captures pint-size Avian Zizi as she takes off on a wave and stands up during her first solo ride.
“It was fun because I like going in the water,” she told ABC 7.
Since she was 2, the athletic youngster has been tandem surfing with her father, Mark, a Los Angeles firefighter.
He has taught her to hang ten, a trick that requires the placing of 10 toes over the nose of a surfboard while riding a wave.
“Very proud papa you know,” Mark Zizi told ABC 7. “She’s riding the wave and laughing the whole time, and I’m laughing as I’m chasing her.”
