After a week of work, sometimes what you need is a pre-weekend palate cleanser. Today’s photo comes courtesy of photographer Matt Allard and it’s a welcome change of pace for the start of the weekend.

Allard was out on a bike ride when he reached Venice Pier and stopped to watch the surfers. The sunny winter weather of Venice led to a foggier look at the pier---and for the photo.
