Man pleads guilty to rape and murder of girl, 13
Reporting from Fairfield, Calif. — A Northern California man has pleaded guilty to raping and killing a 13-year-old girl he kidnapped as she walked home from school.
The Reporter of Vacaville says Anthony Lemar Jones entered the plea Friday to murder with special circumstances. He’s now facing life in prison.
Prosecutors say Jones, a local barber, followed Genelle Conway-Allen and ordered her into his car in the town of Fairfield on Jan. 31, 2013.
The Suisun City girl was tied up, raped, sodomized and strangled.
Her naked body was found the next day in a park.
Investigators say surveillance and DNA evidence linked Jones to the crime.
