Riverside County police chase ends in fatal shooting
A police chase in Riverside County on Tuesday afternoon ended with a deputy fatally shooting a suspect, authorities said.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was shot about 2:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Palma Bonita Lane in the city of Perris, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Albert Martinez.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, Martinez said. He did not know the gender of the individual.
The chase began in Corona and moved into Perris. Martinez said he didn’t know what set off the chase.
