Barricaded suspect in Westlake surrenders to police
A man who had barricaded himself inside a residence Friday in Los Angeles’ Westlake neighborhood has surrendered to police, authorities said.
The incident began a little after noon Friday when a man called police for help, saying that his roommate had threatened him with a gun, LAPD Officer Tony Im said.
Crisis negotiators, SWAT officers and behavioral experts converged on the scene in the 200 block of North Lake Street, he said. There were no reports of hostages, Im said.
The man surrendered to officers at about 6:15 p.m., said Officer Drake Madison.
