Plane lands in field in Pacoima; no injuries reported
A single-engine plane with two people on board made a forced landing Wednesday afternoon in a field in Pacoima, but no injuries were reported, officials said.
Preliminary information indicates that the Piper PA32 lost power after taking off from Whiteman Airport in Pacoima and landed shortly before 3:15 p.m., said Ian Gregor, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman in Los Angeles.
He said the plane received minor damage.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the incident was reported in the 10000 block of Glenoaks Boulevard and that there were no flames or leaking fuel.
No other details were immediately available.
