McCartney, Timberlake concerts close stretch of Hollywood Boulevard
A block of Hollywood Boulevard is closed until Wednesday morning for two free summer concerts featuring Paul McCartney and Justin Timberlake.
The iconic corridor is closed between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive in anticipation of the huge crowds expected for the performances, which are being put on by late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
McCartney is scheduled to take the stage outside the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” theater at 4 p.m. Monday. Timberlake is set to perform Tuesday afternoon. The stars are staging the concerts to promote new albums.
The block is expected to be open in time for Wednesday’s morning rush-hour commute, KTLA reported.
Anyone can line the sidewalks to hear the performances, but those hoping for the best views will need free tickets. For McCartney’s concert, however, all the tickets have been snapped up. Fans interested in seeing Timberlake up close can still get on a waiting list online.
