Nicaraguan man sought in connection with Laguna Hills homicide
Authorities in Orange County announced Friday that they are searching for a 22-year-old man from Nicaragua in connection with a homicide in a Laguna Hills neighborhood earlier in the week.
The incident unfolded Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. when law enforcement officers responded to a home in the 25200 block of Stockport Street for a welfare check, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Inside the home, police found a dead man and began investigating the incident as a homicide.
On Friday, authorities named Henry Nunez Godinez as a person of interest in the case. Godinez and the deceased man were roommates and co-workers, authorities said.
Orange County authorities said they believe Godinez may be traveling to Nicaragua through Mexico. He was last seen Dec. 7.
