Man covered in blood seen walking down street; body found nearby
A man drenched in blood was seen walking down a street in Huntington Beach and another man was found dead inside a nearby apartment, police said Wednesday.
Authorities said the body was discovered midday Wednesday inside an apartment in the 1400 block of Delaware Street, not far from the city’s downtown.
The discovery was made after a resident reported seeing another man walking down a residential street covered in blood, police said in a statement.
Evidence led police officers to the apartment, where they said they found the body.
Police have released little information about the man’s death and have not identified either man. The case is being treated as a potential homicide.
The man found walking on the street was treated by paramedics and taken to a local hospital, where he was being questioned by investigators, according to authorities.
