This man left $8,000 near LAX. Have you seen him?
Los Angeles police are making one final effort to find a man who left behind more than $8,000 in cash at a restaurant near LAX before they award the money to the person who found it, police said Thursday.
On Dec. 19, an unidentified man left a restaurant off Century Boulevard but left the cash in the booth where he was eating, police said. Someone inside the restaurant found the money — police wouldn’t say who — and turned it over to the LAPD.
The money was left at a Denny’s near the airport, according to CBS2.

Police say that after 97 days, it’s finders keepers for the money. That means that on March 25, whoever gave the money to police will get it back, unless the man who left it comes forward. Police expect whoever left the money to be able to identify where he left it, the denominations of the bills and what it was left in, officials said.
