LAX flights delayed or canceled due to East Coast storms
Powerful winter storms battering the East prompted airlines to delay and cancel dozens of flights in and out of Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.
Airport authorities reported that a total of 86 arriving and departing flights were delayed and an additional 80 were canceled.
Most of the affected flights were to or from East Coast cities, including Washington, D.C., New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., and Raleigh, N.C.
Heavy snow and blizzard conditions are forecast in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Baltimore and Washington, until Sunday.
