LAPD seeks public’s help in finding woman reported missing
Los Angeles police were seeking the public’s help Monday night in finding a missing 19-year-old student.
Janet Ji Young Choi was last seen Saturday about 11:50 a.m. at her home in the 4900 block of Maplewood Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
She failed to show up for class that day at her art school, which the LAPD said was “very unusual.”
“Ms. Choi’s family is extremely worried and concerned for her safety,” LAPD officials said in a statement.
Police described Choi as 5 feet 3 with black hair and brown eyes and weighing about 90 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. A. Mercado at (213) 996-1800.
