One knife, one gun, one dead in Del Rey, police say
A tense confrontation between one person with a knife and another with a gun resulted in a fatal shooting Monday night on the Westside.
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison said there was some type of argument at the home in the 4700 block of La Villa Marina in Del Rey at about 7:30 p.m.
A knife was pulled, and then a gun, and then one person was shot and killed, Madison said. He said it appeared that the two people may have known each other.
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the deceased person has not been publicly identified. Madison said it was unclear who was in custody, if anyone, in relation to the shooting.
