3 arrested, including a police officer, after Huntington Beach stabbing

Three people have been arrested after a stabbing Sunday afternoon in Huntington Beach that left one person injured, according to police.

Two men and a woman were in a car at the 24 Hour Fitness, at 303 Third St., when they got into an argument with two people walking down the street, according to police.

One of the pedestrians, a 17-year-old boy, was stabbed when the disagreement escalated into a physical altercation between the two groups, police said.

Police responded to the scene just after 4 p.m.

The vehicle’s occupants fled but were quickly located by officers and detained, police said.

Police arrested Jessica Roman, 27, and Martin Roman, 25, both of Lake Forest; and Arthur Roman, 28, of Tinley Park, Ill., on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery. Arthur Roman is a police officer in Illinois, Huntington Beach police said. All three were released on bond, and the investigation is continuing, police said.
