It is unclear how many tons of asphalt spilled during the 5 a.m. crash. Police said the semi-truck collided with a small vehicle just south of Mission Boulevard. The driver of the semi-truck likely lost control and overturned.
Commuters traveling on the freeways Friday morning saw additional delays in Diamond Bar.
At least two lanes were blocked on the eastbound 60 Freeway near Diamond Bar Boulevard when a motorcyclist was killed after hitting a curb and crashing.
