Man arrested in stabbing death of his grandmother in East L.A.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of his grandmother, whose body was found Monday in her East Los Angeles home, authorities said.
Investigators were called to the home in the 100 block of North Gage Avenue at about 11:45 a.m. to perform a welfare check, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. When they entered, they found the woman, who has not been identified, with multiple stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Her grandson, Armando Sepulveda, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Monday and booked on suspicion of murder, according to the Sheriff’s Department inmate database. He remained in custody in lieu of $1-million bail.
